HTX Trash and Recycling

It's accurate about trash and recycling but I do wish you could schedule heavy trash pickup on here. Calling 311 seems a bit hectic and the info about heavy trash pickup on even months is false for now.

This app has been pretty accurate, other than the unexpected late pickup for weekly trash. The recycling if not picked up on that Friday, it will be on that Saturday normally. I appreciate having the app helps me because sometimes I do get forgetful and can check the app for recycling. It’s much faster than calling 311. Many don’t know about this app and more should be done to make the public aware of it and free up all the calls to 311, as I used to do to make sure my recycling bin was out.

I like the reminders, but there's no way to dismiss them. You can only 'schedule' or 'snooze' them. They just keep coming back until the day ends! Also, they say recycle isn't coming when it is and vice versa. I've started putting the recycling out every week because now I'm unsure.
